The Kingsway – Parklike GTA West
Prior to my family’s move to the bucolic hills of Mono, I lived and sold real estate in another beautiful park-like area called The Kingsway and through my past contacts, I continue to visit and sell in this area. The Kingsway is an affluent residential area located in the west end of Toronto. First developed by Robert Home Smith in the early 1900’s it is located off the main thoroughfare “The Kingsway” situated off Royal York and Bloor Streets. The Kingsway emerged out of Home Smith's vision of the ideal community, he was inspired by the Garden City principles of England and consequently the neighbourhood is renowned for its distinctive style of homes from Arts and Craft with Mock Tudor Revival to stately Center Hall homes situated on large mature lots. Populated with numerous shops, and restaurants, easy access to downtown Toronto plus plenty of schools and parks make The Kingsway a very desirable urban neighbourhood.
